Japanese
Teahouse

Extends over the pond on
stilts, adding further charm to this small compelling setting. A resident
caretaker occupies this house. The teahouse has its own entrance and
is separated from the other buildings by a garden, giving all residents
full privacy. |
The property is in Kapoho
Beach, a gated community, and is surrounded by a 6' high privacy stone
wall. Half the property is a warm tide pool pond (filled with tropical
fish) and the other - uniquely earthy, outdoor-oriented tropical-style
living areas that have glimpses of the ocean. This is the perfect place
to get away from the high stress life-style, swim, relax, in the pond
(clothing optional), reflect and rest. Enjoy the simple life - a stone's
throw from the ocean.
Explore the local color and lifestyle just minutes away via a bike ride
to the Millionaire Pond (aka Ahalanui Hot Pond) - a 95-degree pond separated
from the ocean waves by a small wall. A further ride takes you down
a tree-canopied road to a fishing village where you can purchase direct
from the fisherman and then on to a black sand beach (clothing optional
here, too).
The village of Pahoa is 8 miles away. Along the way, stop at the Lava
Tree National Park. In Pahoa you'll find a full service health food
store, boutique shops, specialty restaurants, a fresh fish market, a
Sunday out-door market featuring local crafts, homemade foods and lot
of local characters, plus the usual amenities.
