Life at Rancho Rasayana Rancho Rasayana was incorporated in 1995. It is a rare oasis on the Sea of Cortez with fresh water lagoons and vast ocean frontage. It consists of 47 acres with lush foliage consisting of hundreds of palm and native trees. Lush gardens, and extensive irrigations systems are possible because of two excellent wells on the property. Buildings include: Large palapa (traditional building out of black palm posts with intricately hand woven palm roof.) Large enough to park a 34' Airstream trailer underneath the large canopy or suitable for finishing off into a large home (approx. 1,500 sq.feet) The large palapa in the garden serves as a community kitchen with propane stove, and sink facilities. A domed pentagon solar-powered casita crafted with hand fired adobe bricks of 600 sq. feet gives you a cozy kitchen, bath and sleeping area. Local environment - La Ribera, a small village with some shopping, is 2 miles south from the property on a dirt road. Los Barilies, known for its wind surfing and fine small restaurants, is a full service town 3 miles north of the property. Buena Vista, just north of us, is known for its natural hot springs and fine accomodations. Closest International Airport - 1 hr south - is in San Jose Del Cabo, lovely town with full amenities - supermarkets, restaurants, full service. Cabo San Lucas Resort, ½ hr further south from San Jose Del Cabo, is a wild and crazy busy resort full of fun, clubs, dancing and nightlife, and a beautiful international jet set destination. Las Paz, an hour and a half north, is a lovely old Colonial city on the Sea. It has an International airport, great shopping, hotels, and restaurants. Activities on the property - wind-surfing, fishing, kayaking, sailing, long white sand beach strolls, digging for crabs, and picking oysters, bird-watching (pelicans, exotic, myna birds, etc.)

Temperatures in the winter are mild in the winter - Oct to May - warm sunny days and comfortable nights. May to Oct - in the 90's with ocean breeze. The Ocean - Sea of Cortez is known for it's calm, tepid turquoise waters. Perfect for swimming. There is little road traffic to interrupt the peace and tranquility of this land, yet it is conveniently located. Windsurfing is world class and launching is good from our rock free white sand beach. High winds and waves off the reef make it excellent for experts and beginners alike. Scuba diving is a favorite with clear water and plentiful sea life right out in front of the property. Swimming is delightful in the calm clear water, as are peaceful walks at sunset. Flocks of pelicans, mallard ducks and many many varieties of tropical birds hang out in the fresh water lagoons. The East Cape of Baja is safe and the people are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is family oriented. Many people speak English, and there has been a long history of North Americans owing land in Baja. This very special 47 acres is FOR SALE. The land has clear title.
