How We Give Back

Frequently Asked Questions

  • When should we arrive?

Please plan to arrive 10-15 mins before tour begins to allow time for parking, restroom stops etc

  • Where do I go?

When you arrive at Starseed Ranch, please park in the grassy parking area in front of the fence and small farm store building. You will see a “Parking” sign. Farm tours meet in the parking lot and begin promptly at 11:15am for public tours. Private groups vary based on arrangements made with us.

  • What should I wear?

We recommend wearing whatever is comfortable for light walking and something you don’t mind getting muddy or wet in case of rain (i.e. comfortable walking shoes). There are mosquitoes depending on precipitation, so we recommend covering your arms and legs with clothing or with natural bug repellent (non-toxic please). Finally, our weather can change quickly, so we recommend bringing an umbrella or raincoat, especially in the winter months (Dec-March is rainy season).

  • Are Farm Tours and Dinners suitable for children?

Yes! Children love the farm tour and being in the natural setting. Plus, we have 2 friendly farm dogs that love kids—also, most children who attend love the dinner, even the picky eaters! It’s a very family-friendly experience! We’re perfect for family gatherings & celebrations, as well.

  • What if I have dietary restrictions?

Please specify your dietary restrictions when prompted during the reservation process. You will be able to choose individual preferences for each member of your party.

  • If I have a small group, can I still sign up?

Yes, you can! For Farm to Table Experiences – if we do not reach our minimum number of guests (usually minimum of 6 pp) we will cancel the dinner. If this happens, guests are notified at least 2 days prior to the event and provided a full refund.

  • Can you accommodate large groups?

Yes, we are happy to host large groups such as corporate retreats, family gatherings, specialty tours, or special events. Please contact us HERE for more info!

  • Do you sell your farm’s produce on demand?

Although we will showcase products from our farm during the farm tour and/or after dinner, we do not sell produce on demand during tours or meals. You may pre-order a box of fresh produce, which is available for delivery during your stay on Tuesday and Friday. Please order at least 48 hours in advance to ensure that a member of our staff is available to harvest the freshest produce possible! You can also visit us at our nonprofit farm’s booth, HIP Agriculture, at the Waimea Farmers Market, at Pukalani Stables Wednesdays 8 am-1pm.

  • Do you offer private Farm Tours & Farm to Table Dinners?

Yes, these are available upon request for parties of 6 or more. Please inquire for more information HERE
